ABOUT ME

 

Hey everyone, and welcome to Growing Up Crafty!

 

I’m Jessie, and I’m so excited to be on this adventure with you! I’m bringing my love for crafting  to life—right here with you!

So, a little about me.  I’m married to my best friend and high school sweetheart, and I’m a proud mom of two.  Aubrey is 13 and loves dance and all things art.  Wes is 15 enjoys boxing, lifting, and video games.  

 

I’ve worked as both a PA certified teacher and am a PA State Librarian (My full time job is the Director of Youth Services/Children's Librarian in the Pocono Mountains). I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education and a  Master's Degree in Library and Information Science.  My passion has always been rooted in creativity, kiddos, and learning through play. Nothing makes me happier than watching little ones light up with pride over their own handmade masterpieces.  However, as I've gotten older, I've also found I really enjoy a "mom's night out" full of laughs and common ground of what it takes to be a grown up!   Bringing these things together with a crafty night is the perfect recipe for fun in my opinion.
